This website
is wholly owned and operated by Exotic &
Oriental Ltd, The Home of Oriental Style.
We are a British company and proud of
it. The currency used is Pounds Sterling
(GBP).
We came into
being in late 2001 initially selling bamboo
and other garden screens through our first
website
Bambooscreens.
This narrow but successful range quickly
widened to include almost of the stylish
Oriental goods that are now available on
our webshop exoticandoriental.co.uk.
We carefully
researched all other online screen retailers
to see what they provided as the benefit
for people ordering online. To our amazement
they nearly all offered no benefits other
than the ability to order online at a
time of your choosing. The screens still
takes between 5 and 21 days to get
to you which really defeats the object
of swift online ordering!
We do not
make any money from delivery as many of
the companies offering "free"
delivery do and the delivery charge
you see is the price you will pay. The charge
is worked out on a weight basis and
roughly equates to 55p per Kilogramme. The
actual delivery charge is presented at the
invoice stage before purchase completion
so if you think it
is excessive or unfair you can cancel
there and then.
Assuming all is well you
can then proceed to our secure payment
page, provided by Worldpay, in the sure
knowledge you are the only human who will
see your credit card details.
Worldpay
is an online authorisation payment provider
which allows real time payment processing.
All
we ask is that there is someone available
to sign for the delivery on the date chosen.
If
you would like the screens to be delivered
on a specific date please e-mail before
ordering and we will ring you back to
confirm your precise requirements.
Delivery
takes place any time between 8-00 am and
5-00 pm.
Our experience
with Exotic & Oriental has shown us
that the two most important things people
expect from an on-line retailer are speed
of ordering, including delivery and customer
service.
We therefore try to ensure
that all items showing as being in stock
on the webshop actually are in stock. However
we are only human and from time to time
items showing as being in stock are actually
go out of stock. Should this happen we
will contact you by phone as soon as we
download your order.
All delivery notes
should be signed "unchecked"
Should
any item be damaged in transit or be broken
on opening contact us immediately by phone
and keep all packaging. We aim to resolve
all such problems with the initial phone
call but the precise nature of cause
of the damage means that not all claims
can be dealt with as swiftly but we keep
delays to a minimum.
Should you
be unhappy with the item for whatever reason
we will accept it back into stock as long
as it is intact and in it's original
packaging for a period of 14 days after
purchase.
Once we have physically examined
the item and found it to be OK we will issue
a refund for the full cost of the order
direct
to your card. We cannot refund the cost
of the return delivery charge.
